A fifth annual John Merck Fund Summer Institute on the Biology of Developmental Disabilities was held July 17-22, 2005 at Princeton University. The theme of the year’s course was on the organization and development of brain systems that mediate the expression of motivated and emotional behaviors implicated in affective disorders, substance abuse and ADHD. Distinguished psychologists, neuroscientists and molecular biologists lectured on related topics in addition to hands-on workshops on imaging, computational modeling and human genetics.
